While we are in virtual classroom setting, we will not be starting 6th graders in band or orchestra classes. These classes would be extremely difficult in the virtual classroom setting, therefore we will not be starting performing arts until we return to face-to-face classroom learning.
Sixth grade students will have the opportunity to take general music instead. General music will explore reading, writing and listening to music without using instruments.
As soon as we return to face-to-face learning, we will be offering sixth graders the chance to choose their performing arts classes.
