We have had a great week in orchestra.  The students are working very hard and making great progress. 

We took the 2nd Music Basic Test.  A test is given at the end of each week to assess the students knowledge of music theory. 
Have your students study the following on a daily basis: 
    * Notes & Rest Chart
    * Wall of Power on which they have written their vocabulary words,
​        the definition and the illustration.
These charts should be in sheet protectors in their black orchestra notebook. (see previous blog for information on their Notebook Project) 

​Have a wonderful weekend and a terrific break.

BAND

We have had a great week in band and I know your student is looking forward to the Fall Break. 

Parents, please encourage your student to practice over the break the following: 

    * 5 Note Band Warm Up #1, #2, #4 & #5
    * From Essential Elements Book (see syllabus) # 1-10
    * Jingle Bells
