Your assignments will be listed by date on a TUESDAY/ THURSDAY basis.   There will be several assignments listed each day.  You are to choose one (1) assignment only for submission.  Following the instructions given, correctly complete the assignment each day and submit this via email. You will only need to complete one (1) assignment of your choosing each day. You are to only choose assignments listed for ORCHESTRA: TUESDAY and THURSDAY. The other assignments are for additional information, knowledge and fun learning if you choose.

LSGA Distribution of Student Belongings and Collection of LSGA Materials

Greetings LSGA Family,
May 1, 2020 has been set aside to allow families to retrieve student belongings (items in lockers and medications etc.) and return LSGA materials (books, and instruments etc.). Students’ items have been packaged and labeled for easy delivery. In order for us to promptly assist you, please be prepared to provide student name, student ID number, and student locker number upon arrival.
May 1, 2020 at LSGA
Last Name: A-L may report from 9:00AM-12:00 noon.
Last Name: M-Z may report from 12:30PM-4:30PM.
For the safety of all students, parents, and staff, you will need do the following upon arrival:
1. Drive in and proceed to the front of the school.
2. Remain in your car; a staff member will bring student belongings to your vehicle. If you have materials that need to be returned to LSGA (books or instruments) they will be collected by a staff member.
3. The parent will need to sign indicating student items have been received and or items have been returned to LSGA.
​4. The student’s school identification number will be required. We want to thank you in advance for your patience and understanding, as there may be a wait in line during designated times for pick-up.

It has come to my attention that there might be some confusion as to which assignments students are to complete as listed on this blog.  Let me clarify these assignments.  Beginning Monday, April 27, 2020, I will list the assignments with more specific instructions. Basic instructions for Band or Orchestra assignments are as follow:
 BAND STUDENTS:

GRADING:
Students, this work is on the honor system.  Please do the work yourself.  I want you to learn as much as you can and that will only happen if you do the work yourself.
The grade you earned the third quarter (Q3 ending March 14, 2020) was submitted on April 3, 2020 as reflected in Synergy. Credit for assignments turned in the fourth quarter (Q4 beginning March 16, 2020) will be submitted into Synergy each week. Per Dr Magee, credit will be given for each correctly completed assignment.

The United States Army Field Band focuses on serving communities across the country the best way it can, by providing not just entertainment, but maintaining a connection between the American people and the Army.
The US Army Field Band’s programs started Friday, March 20 and will continue everyday! Streams start at 7 pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and 1 pm Sunday - Thursday. All times Eastern.

Enjoy this Rebroadcast of the Marine Big Band's concert "Celebrating Bird: 100 Years of Charlie Parker," originally performed on March 1, 2020, at Northern Virginia Community College's Rachel M. Schlesinger Concert Hall and Arts Center in Alexandria, Va. The concert celebrated the centennial of Charlie "Bird" Parker by featuring music for big band, Latin jazz, and strings and demonstrated how Parker elevated jazz in the worldwide arts scene. The group performed selections from his most popular and groundbreaking album "Charlie Parker with Strings," featuring a classical string section in addition to a rhythm section.
